In 1863,
somewhere in France, Jeanne Jacquemin was born. She is well known by
modern critics, but very little is known about her actual life. Just
recently, after two years of research, her birth and death dates
were uncovered. Between 1891 and 1896, Jacquemin was known for
exhibiting at the gallery of Le Barc de Boutteville and the Salon de
La Plume of 1900 as an impressionist and symbolist. Most of her
paintings involve showing intense suffering, anguish, or human pain.
She died in 1938.
