John Wilde
(1919-2006)
John Wilde was one of the most influential Wisconsin artists of the last half-century, a leading practitioner of a style of American surrealism that veered from the traditions of Salvador Dali. After being diagnosed with cancer last summer, Wilde died Friday afternoon at his home in the Rock County community of Evansville. He was 86.
